I am an art lover and a cultural activist. My premise: personalised advice and maximum discretion.
I have a degree in Art History by the University of Barcelona and a degree in Decorative Arts of the XVII and XVII centuries by Sotheby's Educational Studies of London. Throughout more than 12 years I worked for the auction house Sotheby's. I have been an auctioneer, director of the cataloguing department at Castellana Subastas and partner at Rocío Tassara & Associates. Since 2005 I run my own office where I work as art consultant advising both collectors and artists.
My work is based on academic training and extensive experience, but I learnt to look and appreciate art when I was a child. I had one of the best masters, the historian Luis Monreal y Tejada, my grandfather. He taught me everything I know and to perceive the artistic experience as something proximate and mundane that enriches you as a person. This is why I also organise cultural events and I write brief Instagram stories about art in a simple and fun language. I intend to make you an art fanatic. My hashtag #enjoyingartexperiences.
I collaborate with Mar de Somins, a non-profit organisation which amongst other things carries out activities for kids and teenagers with epilepsy. Art brings them humongous emotional benefits and improves their acceptance of their illness. An absolutely pioneer initiative in Spain. More information at www.mardesomnis.org
